Franklin township sewer

Project Description

G.M. McCrossin undertook the expansion and upgrading of the existing Franklin Township

Sewer Authority’s Wastewater Treatment Plant. The scope included the following:

Upgrading and expanding of the main pumping station, a new headworks building, upgrades to existing aeration tanks, replacement of final clarifiers and internals;

Addition of an ultraviolet disinfection system, upgrades to all sludge handling facilities, addition of a mixer to the primary anaerobic digester and all related upgrades; and

Renovations to the existing control building, site work, plumbing, HVAC and electrical works.

The contract also was split into 3 distinct categories, namely:

1. General construction;
2. Plumbing/ HVAC construction; and
3. Major equipment installation.
